It all began in February 2022, when fate (and a little dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel – because apparently “YumCha Meets Pho” wasn’t available) brought us together.
Our very first date? Korean BBQ in Strathfield on a rainy day.
His thoughts: “Oh crap, this girl is beautiful… but wow, she can really eat! Did she skip breakfast? Also… I left work early for this?”
Her thoughts: “Hmm, this guy seems nice. Knows how to grill meat exactly the way I like… but definitely has the ‘I’ve read every book in the library’ vibe.”
Life threw us onto different paths for a while, but – like every cheesy rom-com ever – we reunited in 2024. Since then, we’ve been making up for lost time in the most efficient way possible: eating and traveling like it’s our full-time job.
From the jaw-dropping landscapes of New Zealand, the magical streets of Japan, the delicious chaos of Vietnam, to the neon sparkle of China, Macau, and Hong Kong – we wandered hand in hand, sampling everything in sight (and gaining several souvenir kilos along the way).
Closer to home, we explored Melbourne’s laneways and Tasmania’s wild beauty… and survived a few memorable moments, including a near-death experience (or two) on Mount Wellington. (COUGH COUGH – MG5 SUV, you know what you did.)
Through every flight delay, road trip sing-along, and “whose idea was this?” moment, we’ve only grown closer. Now, we’re gearing up for our next big adventure – one with no return ticket : a lifetime together.

Our Love Story
The greatest happiness in life isn’t about meeting the most perfect person at the most perfect time - it’s about finding someone who’s willing to hold your hand through the years and grow old with you. It doesn’t have to be during the brightest days of youth, as long as it’s the right person at the right time.
I feel incredibly lucky and happy to have met you. Let’s build our little home together, share every joy and sorrow life brings, and walk this long journey side by side - until our hair turns grey, my love.
